"Geekspeak" at the Midwest Law & Technology Conference 2004
CHICAGO: November 30, 2004 - The Chicago Bar Association is collaborating with the Milwaukee Bar Association to organize the Midwest Law and Technology Conference that will be held in both cities on two consecutive days. The event in Chicago is scheduled for November 30, 2004, and the one in Milwaukee follows the day after. The conference will cover up-to-date issues pertaining the technology that influences litigation practices today.
Forensicon's Lee Neubecker will be speaking at one of the tracks - Electronic Discovery - planned for the conference, a topic unmatched in ubiquity and popularity due to the worldwide exponential growth in the use of electronic communication.
Neubecker's expertise stems from his experience as the President and CEO of Forensicon, a computer forensics and electronic discovery firm based in Chicago. The presentation, "Finding the Smoking Guns: Legal Computer Forensics without the Geekspeak," mirrors Neubecker's uncanny ability to demystify technology to a non-technical audience, enabling him to deconstruct the most complex issues in the manner that is easily comprehensible. His ease in expounding the issues of computer forensics is derived from his extensive experience in the industry, enabling him to highlight various subjects that litigators find helpful, for example, what to look for beyond the usual keyword search and how to improve on the success rate in obtaining electronic evidence.
Accompanying Lee in the presentations that span both days of the conference are fellow experts in the field of computer forensics and the law, and they include United States Magistrate, Nan Nolan, United States District Court Judge, J.P. Stadtmueller, attorney and certified computer forensics examiner, Craig Ball from the Law Offices of Craig D. Ball, P.C., and senior legal consultant, David Schultz from Kroll Ontrack, Inc. Topics that will be explored by the distinguished speakers range from getting up to speed with e-discovery in litigation practices and how to avoid an e-discovery disaster.
