Forensicon Presents "Using Computer Forensics to Conduct Investigations" to the Institute of Internal Auditor's Chicago West Chapter

CHICAGO: May 10, 2006 - On Tuesday, May 9th, 2006, the Institute of Internal Auditor's Chicago West Chapter hosted Forensicon's President and CEO, Lee Neubecker, as well as Cameron Nelson, a Patent and Trademark Attorney with Greenberg Traurig, who presented an afternoon 3.0 CPE credit seminar in Warrenville, Illinois titled, "Using Computer Forensics to Conduct Investigations".

This event was organized by the chapter to provide up to date information on the technologies that support forensic auditing. The attendees to this seminar learned how to effectively preserve electronic information and received an overview of how companies can deploy computer forensics as a tool to protect their intellectual property and identify and prosecute corporate fraud. This co-presentation allowed the best of both worlds for internal auditors as Mr. Neubecker provided details on the technological aspects of computer forensics while Mr. Nelson provided insight into the legal intricacies of deploying computer forensics as an investigative tool.

Mr. Neubecker's expertise stems from his experience as the President and CEO of Forensicon, a computer forensics firm based in Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mr. Nelson, whose areas of practice includes patent infringement and validity analysis, patent prosecution and patent litigation, drafting of license agreements, state court intellectual property claims, and counterfeit product policing and enforcement, has worked together with Mr. Neubecker on high profile trademark and patent infringement litigation. Having worked together, both experts are able to lend a practical aspect to their presentation on how technology and auditing can work in concert to successfully accomplish specific outcomes.
