Forensicon's Asset Protect Reveals Misappropriation of Forensicon's Content on Competitor Electronic Legal's Websites

Chicago, Illinois - September 21st, 2009:

Forensicon, a Chicago-based national provider of computer forensics investigative services, recently discovered they were the victim of a competitor's use of their original copyrighted content. Ironically, Forensicon focuses on investigating theft of intellectual property and corporate trade secrets. The firm, Electronic Legal, LLC based out of Denver, reportedly runs both websites www.computerforensicsdenver.com and www.electroniclegal.com and promotes on their websites the same computer forensic service offerings as Forensicon.

Forensicon's President Lee Neubecker responds, "I am shocked that a company that purports itself as expert witnesses in the field of computer forensics and trade secrets misappropriation would have the audacity to publish verbatim content from a competitor's website."

Neubecker continued, "Most amazingly, one of the web pages that was illegally taken was about our misappropriation of trade secrets practice located at http://www.forensicon.com/services/trade-secrets.asp.”

Forensicon's Asset Protect Service reported the violation during our prelaunch testing when it discovered Electronic Legal's websites had published the sentence, "Ultimately, Forensicon was able to help locate misappropriated data, and judgment was given in favor of the plaintiff."

"We have sent a demand letter with a deadline for compliance ordering their immediate removal of all of our content and any derivatives thereof and are awaiting a response from Electronic Legal," reported Neubecker.
