Scott R. Jones Sr. Forensic Examiner Presents to Loyola University Chicago

CHICAGO, IL - April 26, 2007:
Mr. Scott R. Jones, Senior Forensic Examiner with Chicago-based computer forensics firm, Forensicon, Inc., was invited to discuss computer forensics with students at Loyola University Chicago's Watertower Campus. Mr. Jones has been consulted by Loyola University Chicago faculty previously to provide insights from his years of hands-on forensic investigations experience as well as his experience as an instructor in computer forensics at Wilbur Wright College in Chicago, IL. The discussions were intended to discuss the creation of a new minor degree studies program related to computer forensics and to provide students with a high-level reality-based view of the opportunities for employment as well as the types of case work performed by experts in the field.

The field of computer forensics and corporate security is witnessing rapid growth. While few universities currently offer computer forensics as a major, or a graduate degree in the discipline, many are undertaking the process of putting these programs in place. For students with an interest in IT, legal, criminology, and who are comfortable presenting to groups, computer forensics presents an exciting opportunity. Mr. Jones educated the students on the intricacies of working in this demanding and challenging field as part of Forensicon's effort to provide support to area public educational institutions.
