Jason Gossett Featured at Ask The Expert Day
SKOKIE,
IL - March 20, 2007:
Mr. Jason Gossett,
Senior Computer Forensic Examiner with Chicago-based computer forensics firm
Forensicon, Inc., participated in the Niles North High School’s 7th Annual
Ask the Expert Day. The program was "intended to demonstrate the direct
relationship of the students’ curricular subject areas to life skills and
career opportunities in the workplace.” Mr. Gossett presented an overview
of the field, as well as provided insight into a day in the life of a
computer forensic examiner.
The field of computer
forensics and corporate security is witnessing rapid growth. While few
universities currently offer computer forensics as a major or award graduate
degrees in the discipline, many are undertaking the process of putting these
programs in place. For students with an interest in IT, legal, criminology,
and for those who are comfortable presenting to groups, computer forensics
presents an exciting opportunity. Mr. Gossett educated the students on the
intricacies of working in this demanding and challenging field as part of
Forensicon's effort to provide support to area public educational
institutions.
