Forensicon Staff Presents “Understanding Digital Forensics and Protecting Law Firm Data”

On Friday, May 15th, 2015, Forensicon’s Director of Digital Forensics, Yaniv Schiff, and Operations Manager, Eric Miller will be featured speakers at the Chicago Bar Association’s Professional Responsibility Committee. The presenters will share their insights into digital forensics and how to protect law firm data, both client data and firm information. Each day, news outlets continue to report new data breaches, many that result in dissemination of personal information of their employees, clients and vendors. Sometimes proprietary information is breached. It is imperative that lawyers today have a basic understanding of the role that digital forensics plays in following the trail of electronic data in order to answer many questions of concern.

  • How did the breach happen?
  • What type of information was accessed?
  • Did the data get copied or used?
  • What are the legal and ethical requirements for staff when such actions happen?
  • What steps can be taken to prevent and protect against future data loss?

Join us this Friday at noon at The Chicago Bar Association, 321 South Plymouth Court, Chicago, IL 60604 for this informative presentation and discussion. The presentation will begin at 12:15 PM with the event wrapping up by 1:30 PM. MCLE credit is available. Advanced registration via the CBA website is recommended.
